President Bush’s selection of the Hon. John Roberts is an interesting choice. The betting, and there had been betting, was on a minority or female candidate. Instead, President Bush swings for the fences with a middle-aged, white male. Let the ugliness begin.

America's public schools are socialist schools. They are government owned-and-operated near monopolies, similar to the schools in the former Soviet Union and present-day communist China.

Public school compulsory-attendance laws violate parent's natural, moral, legal, and constitutional rights to direct their children's education. Such laws and the institution they support are therefore un-American in the deepest sense.
